Someone brought it to my attention that the latest generation of students is the first to be experts at something that their parents know nothing about. Now, this is an exaggeration of course but concerning technology, our kids are the whizzes. Parents go to their children to learn how to use a computer or even worse to find out what it is for! It is not technology to children, it is just there. They have always had it as they have always had clothes, food, friends, and school. They don't look at technology as new and revolutionary, but simply as a way of life. So why not let them use that with which they are most comfortable? Technology in our schools puts students at ease, and anything that lets them feel comfortable will allow them freedom to think.
